I subscribed to a number of blogs as well as installing libBlogs.opml

This was a great way to subscribe to a number of blogs at the one time, a real time-saver.

I installed Google Reader and subscribed to the library group as required.

You do need lots of spare time to log in and browse/read the interesting posts...
